Itinerary

Included Excursion
Stratford-upon-Avon (full day)

We visit the beautiful town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Forever associated with William Shakespeare, fans of the world’s most celebrated writer can see the house in which he was born. Wander the riverside gardens or discover the town’s venues including the Swan Theatre, home of the Royal Shakespeare Company.

En-route Excursion
Market Bosworth

Following breakfast at the hotel, we check out and make our way to the pretty town of Market Bosworth. With its picturesque Georgian architecture and cobbled main square, it’s a lovely place to enjoy a stroll before tucking into a local treat in one of the charming cafés. The White Boar Inn is also worth a visit, where Richard III spent the night before the Battle of Bosworth, and you can learn more about the town’s role in the Wars of the Roses at the award-winning Bosworth Battlefield Visitor Centre.

Accommodation

The Bosworth Hall Hotel is situated in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside, approximately half a mile from Market Bosworth. Set in 11 acres of landscaped gardens, this 17th-century mansion still boasts original features including an oak-panelled main hall with a Tudor stone fireplace. Hotel facilities include a bar, restaurant and leisure club with indoor pool, sauna, steam room and gym (small charge applies).

Hotel Rating

Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or waiter service.
