Chester

We make our way to the medieval city of Chester, famed for its beautiful black and white Tudor buildings and unique ‘rows’ where the picturesque galleries run above the central shops. Included Excursion
Mold, Llangollen & Horse Drawn Canal Cruise

Nestled along the banks of the River Alyn and surrounded by the beautiful Clwydian Range mountains, Mold is a characterful historic market town. Today we explore the various market stalls that line the high street and Daniel Owen Square, selling a range of goods, from clothes, crockery and plants to fresh fruit, vegetables and speciality cheeses, as we soak up the vibrant and warm community spirit.

We then journey to Llangollen via Horseshoe Pass, taking in beautiful scenic views of the rolling Welsh hills and mountains.  The unspoilt beauty of Llangollen is simply captivating and the river is a haven of activity. The town offers plenty of quirky boutiques and independent shops along its Victorian Promenade, and waterside walks with exquisite surrounding countryside. We take a horse-drawn canal trip down this 11-mile UNESCO World Heritage Site - the perfect way to soak up the peace and tranquillity of the town and its beautiful waterways.

Included Excursion
Tatton Park

We make our way to one of Britain's most well-known and historic estates, Tatton Park. Our visit today provides plenty of time to explore the Neo-classical mansion and 50-acre gardens. Wildlife is abundant at Tatton Park, and throughout its extensive grounds, you will find deer in the 100 acres of deer park and rare breeds at the farm.

Hotel Rating

Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or waiter service.
