There are several small towns in this region, such as the picturesque fishing village of Burgau, with a calm beach sheltered by tall cliffs and the Praia da Luz beach resort, showcasing a glorious coastline, with a storied history woven into its architecture.

Delve into the East Coast of Algarve, a peaceful sanctuary, bursting with unspoilt natural beauty.  Wander its impressive eight-mile beach or visit one of the many quaint towns, such as Tavira, a pretty riverside spot and one of the oldest settlements of the Algarve, with pristine beaches nearby. Or discover Castro Marim, a town founded before the Roman Empire, with its hilltop medieval castle and allure of authentic daily Algarve life.  There is also Ria Formosa Natural Park, a stunning coastal lagoon and a haven for wildlife, with ample bird-watching spots.
